On the day of Shelby and Ryan's engagement session we had a huge storm. The Green Bay Botanical Gardens were soaked in the warm rain, but Mother Nature did not disappoint... we had three minutes of a wonderful partial rainbow! 

As soon as I saw the rainbow, I asked them to run to the edge of the sidewalk and 'just kiss.' That was their first kiss of the session... first kisses are usually uncomfortable since the couples don't really know me yet, but I must say that Shelby and Ryan had a perfect kiss!

The flowers were in full bloom at the GBBG.

I had an awesome time photographing these two... cannot wait for their wedding in April!

Katie & Steven - barn engagement session with horses - Hortonville, WI

Katie and Steven own five horses, two cats and one sweet dog... they are also in love and getting married in less than a month.

I ventured out to Hortonville to photograph their engagement session on their property... which included some of their horses :)

I love photographing people in their environment... they are also so much more relaxed. Katie and Steven's engagement session was full of laughter, animals and horse sounds! I loved it.

Christopher & Danielle - downtown Minneapolis engagement photographer - Twin Cities, MN

The windy day did not stop Danielle and Christopher from having a sweet engagement session. There is so much love between those two.

I met Christopher at his brother's wedding. He was Eric's best man. It's always a big honor to be asked back for sibling's wedding.

Since Danielle and Christopher live in one of the suburbs of Minneapolis, they opted on a session at St. Anthony Main.

So excited for their May wedding!

A year in review - 2015 - engagement and family photographer

Here are some of my favorite engagement photos from this year. Some of the couples already tied the knot this year, and some will do so next year... I cannot wait!!

And, there clients who want family photos... I should do them more often :)
