I'm always honored when brides ask me to be their wedding photographer, but it was an extra honor to do Becky and Matt's wedding. I have met Becky on a few occasions through the Seize the Day Events, a Green Bay event company that her mom and sister own. As I had worked with Seized the Day Events in the past, I had no doubt that her wedding was going to be beautiful. All I needed was to meet the groom.
He, a New Yorker, she, a Midwesterner; it seems like Becky and Matt are totally made for each other. Here's their wedding day story...
The bridal details...
Becky got ready with her mom and sister Katie at her childhood home.
With her dad.
Leaving the childhood home had never had more meaning than in this photo.
The groom, Matt, waiting patiently before the ceremony.
The windy, cold November day didn't stop the guests from attending the wedding ceremony at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Becky and Matt chose not to see each other before the wedding. So the walk down the center aisle of the church was long… and emotional for everyone.
One of my favorite photos from the church (Big thank you goes to Father Jim who suggested the spot (can you believe it!!! He definitely is my favorite Catholic priest)).
After the ceremony, the newlyweds took shelter at Hagenmeister Park downtown Green Bay.
The whole bridal party arrived at Lambeau Field.
And I cannot get enough of the beautiful bouquets from 'Flower Girl Design Studio'.
The breath-taking transformation of Lambeau Field's ballroom.
No matter where they would look, they were surrounded by classy, a winter-warm reception setting. All the details were planned and executed to perfection.
They just danced… They were in the moment… without any care… totally into each other.
The famous George girls… Katie, Peggy and Becky.
First official dance as Mister and Missus.
Thank you, Becky and Matt, for entrusting me with your wedding. Wishing you the best that life brings.
