Katie and Christian had spent the majority of their relationship in Hawaii. Those two Wisconsin lovebirds combined their love for Hawaii and their native state into one fabulous Lambeau 'Aha'aina male (wedding feast).
From the bouquets to boutonnieres to programs… all details reminded of a tropical paradise.
Christian surprised Katie with a gift - a keepsake box made with shells (and it was wrapped in Katie's favorite color).
The ceremony was led by Father Ron who has known Katie since about her First Communion. It was a very delightful ceremony in a beautifully natural light-infused church filled with family and friends.
Christian was waiting for Katie at the altar with a red long-stem rose.
Introducing Dr. & Mrs. Christian B.
After the ceremony we headed to the Pamperin Park for photographs in a botanical setting.
Then, it was all about the Lambeau Field!!!
After group shots in the bleachers, Katie and Christian were led to the field. While Katie and Christian smooched on the field, the finishing touches were being put on in their reception area.
Tons of Hawaiian goodness was sprinkled throughout the Lū‘au space. Pineapples, orchids, palms, tiki lanterns…. The Lambeau Atrium was transformed into a Hawaiian extravaganza.
While each guest received a shell lei (including yours truly), Katie and Christian gave flower and nut lei to their parents, the bridal party, and each other.
It seemed that all guests, at one time or another, took to the dance floor. At one point, I could feel the floor move (and we are talking cement and steel beams) :)
In true Wisconsinite spirit, the bridal party gave the respect to the Packers.
Thank you, Katie and Christian, for making me a part of your wonderful day.
