Two worlds came together this past weekend in an union of a beautiful Wisconsinite and a handsome Irish-Chicagoan... And, what a day that it was!!

Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready at Radisson Paper Valley (thank you, Elegant Exposure for capturing Kevin and the guys at the hotel).

They exchanged their vows at St. Bernadette Parish in Appleton.

I love how the apple tree blossom shadows dance in these photos... a perfect combination to the lace.

We ventured to the historic Fox River Mills apartments for more photos.

The Grand Meridian was the perfect background for Danielle and Kevin's elegant reception.

There were a lot of Kentucky Derby fans at this wedding... they all cheered their favorites.

Kevin and his mom kicked off the dancing portion of the evening…

From slow dances, to an Irish jig, to limbo, to singing... it was definitely one evening no one will forget any time soon!

Revolution Brewing wedding ceremony and reception - Chicago, IL - Julie & Blake

Pouring rain and a tornado watch didn't put a damper on Julie and Blake on their wedding day at the Chicago brewery and pub, Revolution Brewing. Better yet, during their ceremony, it rained and the sun came out, so I bet there was a rainbow someplace near by :)

Julie and Blake were getting ready at the Conrad Hotel... It was a perfect background for getting ready shots, their first look and formal photos.

Ed of Chicago-based Ed and Aileen Photography, was second shooting this fun wedding (Thanks, Ed! It was great seeing you again!).

We ventured to Kedzie Street bridge... Unfortunately, it started to rain almost as soon as we got there, but we still managed to get great photos with downtown Chicago as the background.

Michigan lakeside engagement session - Chicago - S & B

Photographing my clients in places dear to their hearts makes me happy, so when Brooke asked if I could come to Chicago for their engagement session... well, that was a no brainer. Rain, snow, hail.... nothing would stop me :)

We walked around the lakeshore in the Evanston area... It was a beautiful day... windy, but at the same time it was 74 degrees. Just a perfect day for a perfect location.

And, a perfect ring ;)

I'm looking forward to their wedding. It's going to be a spectacular affair.

A day in life - Chicago trip - personal photography

I love going to Chicago during Christmas time. The cool air, the city's architecture, sparkly lights and tons of people - that's my kind of relaxation. LOVE it!

We stayed at Chicago-Mart Plaza (Riverview) hotel (http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/en/chicago/chipl/hoteldetail) where the views were simply amazing.

After a little refreshment, we decided to brace the crowds, because for a change, the weather was very pleasant. We even ended up carrying our coats in mid-December! 

The obligatory trip to Macy's. I think next year, I will bring my older daughter on this trip. We will gaze into the store's window displays, and have lunch at the Walnut Room and of course, do some shopping. ☺

Did I mention that I love Chicago's architecture... Here's a random building's atrium. Isn't it beautiful?

In just a couple of hours, my little eye spied three brides. This one was brave enough to cross many lanes of traffic just to get this favorite Chicago shot... I really hope, I will have a chance to photograph a downtown Chicago wedding during December. Imagine all that sparkle! ♥

The next day, we got a little bit of sun that created yet another kind of sparkle.

It's amazing how a 24-hour trip can lift my spirits. Hope you have something that can lift your spirits too.

The Wedding Magazine Green Bay & Gosia's Photography venture

The editors of The Wedding Magazine (www.theweddingmagazine.net), a beautiful, glossy, new to the market magazine, had asked me to photograph a stylized shoot. The session took a place at the Paine Art Center and Gardens (http://www.thepaine.org/). 

My part of a day-long shoot was to photograph tabletops... If you ask me if it's possible to over photograph a table... Oh! Yes, indeed! It's very possible ☺

Another part was to submit a so-called 'real' wedding. I had a really hard time picking one bridal couple... I really did! I mean, all of my couples were gorgeous, their bridal parties super fun and all weddings were very pretty. How can one pick? Well, I opted for the romantic wedding of Maria and Nick. 

The editors liked my photography so much, they asked for my wedding photography to fill their pages. I was thrilled!
