The Paine Art Center & Gardens wedding - Oshkosh, WI - Alexandria & John

I met Lexie at one of the bridal shows. I distinctly remember talking to her... she was super nice and her ring... well, one doesn't see an emerald and diamond ring every day ;)

The ceremony and reception took place at The Paine Art Center & Gardens. Everywhere one looks, the place exudes European charm (just like Lexie's engagement ring).

And, it seemed like they were in Europe :)

North Shore Country Club wedding - Menasha, WI - Krystle & Ryan

One would think that June 21 would feel like the longest day of the year, but Krystle and Ryan's wedding that Saturday seemed to just fly by. Surrounded by great family and fun friends and located in beautiful settings, it was a wedding to remember! (And now, Krystle and Ryan and my husband and I are wedding anniversary buddies :)).

Ryan is the tallest groom I have ever photographed. He's 6'6" (and since I'm only 5'2", I was rocking the step stool all day long) :)

The ceremony took place at beautiful Saint Joseph church in Appleton.

After the group photo at the Lawrence University, we headed to the North Shore County Club.

Gorgeous room set up...

Everything sparkled... even the candy buffet.

Opened in 1930, even today, the clubhouse showcases the charm of the old world.

I love when my clients agree on sneaking out for photos in the setting sun. Twenty minutes outside usually equals to many beautiful, gorgeously lit photos. 

No special effect added. Mother Nature at her best.

Tundra Lodge wedding - Green Bay, WI - Brandi & Grant

I started my 2014 wedding season with the best couple I could have ever asked for… and with a beautiful church, a great reception hall and above all Brandi and Grant's family and friends. And, I'm not just saying that… the friendly helper, great sets of parents and super fun friends (just take a look at the end of the blog :))

The bridal couple got ready at the St. Mary Catholic church in De Pere. It's a lovely church with lots of natural light, wood beams and tall ceilings…

I loved that Grant's friends had personalized cufflinks… Notre Dame, University of Missouri and Macalester College.

Sunny but super windy weather seems like the norm these days, and last Saturday was no exception. We tried to go outside… Grant and the guys totally ruled… Brandi couldn't have been more courageous, but in the end, the wind was just too much. And that's ok… We utilized the beautiful church to its fullest extent… and of course, there was the ballroom at the Tundra Lodge.

Look how happy and lighthearted Brandi is in the ridiculously strong winds… Nothing fazed her. Grant is one lucky guy…

The reception took place at the Tundra Lodge. Brandi and Grant had some time before the guests started to arrive. 

And this is what I was referring to at the beginning of the blog… The guys didn't care that they were captured on film for all eternity! They were serenading to Brandi (and other ladies) and it was quite a fun scene.

And let me mention the garter toss! I have only seen this a handful of times in many years of doing this for a living… These guys were more than eager to catch the garter… and there were MANY of them (the girls didn't disappoint either).

Bridgewood Resort Hotel wedding - Neenah, WI - Jesse & Adam

Let me set the scene for this wedding: December 27th; Wisconsin; and it was the most beautiful day we had in weeks. I couldn't ask for anything more for my last wedding in 2013.

Here is a sneak peek of Adam and Jesse's wedding... 

Instead of flowers, Jesse's bouquet was an acrylic snowflake. It was a great detail of her winter wonder wedding.

After the family formals, we had about five minutes of beautiful light for some photos...    

And since Jesse and Adam had a winter wonder wedding, it was only appropriate that Santa Claus himself gave them a ride to their reception at Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah.

High Cliff in Sherwood is a perfect background for a wedding. And that's where Lauren and Tyler got married and celebrated their union with their friends.

Lauren and Tyler's wedding ceremony was a beautiful affair. And the best part… they were surrounded by tons of friends and family. In fact, their receiving line took longer than the ceremony itself :)
