Emily and Alec’s wedding was the first regular celebration of this Covid 2020 season. And what a celebration it was!! Family, friends, tears of joy, smiles, and little details made this a one great day!!

Bridal bling… the pearl necklace was worn by her mom on her own wedding day.

ELAINE & ZACH - ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH CEREMONY AND ST. NORBERT BRIDAL PORTRAITS PHOTOGRAPHER - DEPERE, WI - GOSIA'S PHOTOGRAPHY

Elaine and Zach’s wedding day makes another first one (see previous post). This time it’s a quarantine wedding. After picking a back up wedding date, this sweet couple decided to go on with their May wedding ceremony. Family and friends joined them in a streamed mass.

Zach’s mom helped Elaine get ready.

Elaine and Zach didn’t opt for a first look, but I found a way to have them be in one photo without seeing each other.

Zach’s dad walked Elaine down the aisle.

A sweet surprise for the bridal couple… their families.

Six feet apart and wearing mask… the unfortunate reality… but everyone was happy for the newlyweds!

We ventured onto St. Norbert College grounds for a short bridal portrait session.

MR. D. - VIRTUAL FRESH48 NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY - GOSIA'S PHOTOGRAPHY - APPLETON PHOTOGRAPHER

Never did I ever expect to do a session via internet… but it was awesome!! Over the years I have photographed Sam and Andrew’s engagement session, wedding, maternity, first born, multiple family sessions… and now, a virtual newborn and family session. It was definitely a first one for me.

Sam contacted me almost at the beginning of her pregnancy asking if I could do a FRESH48 session once the baby was here. Usually, the FRESH48 sessions take place at the hospital and within the first 48 hours of baby’s arrival. Sam had her heart set on it and so did I (since I LOVE photographing newborns), but our plans had to change just a bit. You know… COVID19 and year 2020… but nothing was going to stop me.

I would set up the shot and angle. Andrew (and then Sam) took turns pressing the shutter via remote control. I don’t know if that makes them my assistants or not, but both of them did an excellent job.

Sam did a great job photographing her boys!

I asked Andrew to step outside to take this photo through their window. We were joking that it would be fun if the neighbors were watching. He was using an umbrella to block off the reflections… so much fun.

Thank you for having me ‘photograph’ another milestone. I will definitely remember this one forever!
